โคบร้า สตาร์ชิพ เป็นวงดนตรีแนวอิเลคโทรป๊อปแดนซ์ จากแมนฮัตตัน นิวยอร์ค มีสมาชิกทั้งหมด 5 คน คือ

Gabe Saporta: เก๊บ ซาปอร์ต้า (ร้องนำ)
Ryland Blackinton: ไรแลนด์ แบล็คคินตัน (กีต้าร์, คอรัส)
Alex Suarez: อเล๊กซ์ ซัวเรส (เบส, คอรัส)
Victoria Asher: วิคตอเรีย แอชเชอร์ (คีย์ต้าร์, คอรัส)
Nate Novarro: เนท โนวาร์โร่ (กลอง)

หลังจากที่ Midtown วงป๊อปพังค์ชื่อดังจากรัฐนิวเจอร์ซี่ ในปี 1998-2005 ได้ตัดสินใจแยกทางกัน เก๊บ ซาปอร์ต้า อดีตนักร้องนำ และมือเบสของวง ก็รวบรวมสมาชิกจนทำให้ Cobra Starship ถือกำเนิดขึ้นมา โดยที่ชื่อวงก็มาจากคำที่เขียนอยู่ด้านหลังเสื้อแจ็กเกตตัวโปรดของเก๊บ ในปี 2006 ทางวงก็ได้ออกซิงเกิ้ลแรกที่มีชื่อว่า "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" โดยที่ในเพลงก็ได้ Maja Ivarsson (The Sounds), Travis McCoy (Gym Class Heroes), และ William Beckett (The Academy Is...) มาร่วมร้อง และเพลงนี้ก็ได้นำไปใช้ประกอบภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Snakes On A Plane ที่นำแสดงโดยดาราชื่อดังอย่าง Samuel L. Jackson พวกเขาเริ่มเป็นที่รู้จักในวงการเพลง ก็ตอนที่ MTV ได้นำมิวสิควีดิโอเพลงนี้ไปเปิดฉายในเดือนกรกฎาคม ซึ่งภายในวีดิโอเองก็มี Samuel และ Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) ร่วมแสดงด้วย ในปีเดียวกันนั้นเอง พวกเขาก็ได้เซ็นต์สัญญากับค่ายเพลงย่อยของ Fueled By Ramen คือ Decaydance ซึ่งมี Pete Wentz เป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง และใช้เวลาในช่วงฤดูใบไม้ร่วง ทัวร์กับ Gym Class Heroes

อัลบั้มแรกอย่างเป็นทางการของพวกเขา มีชื่อว่า "While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets" ออกวางจำหน่ายในเดือนตุลาคม หลังจากมีการเปลี่ยนสมาชิกจาก Elisa Schwartz ไปเป็น Victoria Asher ทางวงก็กลับมาพร้อมกับอัลบั้มที่สองที่มีชื่อว่า "¡Viva la Cobra!" ในปี 2007 และหลังจากผ่านไป 2 ปี ก็ได้ออกอัลบั้มเต็มชุดที่สามที่มีชื่อว่า "Hot Mess" เมื่อเดือนสิงหาคมในปี 2009 นี่เอง โดยที่ซิงเกิ้ลแรกของอัลบั้มนี้ "Good Girls Go Bad" ที่แต่งโดยนักแต่งเพลงชื่อดังอย่าง Kevin Rudolf และ Kara DioGuardi รวมทั้งยังได้มีนักร้องรับเชิญคือ Leighton Meester (Blair จาก Gossip Girl) มาร่วมร้องเพลงนี้ ในเวลาเพียงไม่นานก็ได้ขึ้นไปติดชาร์ต Top 40 จึงทำให้เพลงนี้เป็นเพลงแรกของทางวงที่ได้ Platinum คือขายได้เกิน 1,000,000 ก๊อปปี้ด้วยค่ะ

เอ็มวีตัวนี้ มีเปิดในไทยด้วยนะคะ ใครที่บ้านมีช่องดนตรีอย่าง Channel [V] Thailand หรือว่า MTV Thailand ก็คงได้เห็นผ่านตากันไปบ้างแล้วนะคะ เรียกได้ว่าตอนนี้กระแสเพลงนี้กำลังมาแรงเลยทีเดียวค่ะ ก็เอามาให้โหลดกันครบทั้ง 3 อัลบั้มเลยนะคะ รวมถึงมิวสิควีดิโอทุกตัวที่เคยออกมาที่โพสข้างล่างด้วยค่ะ ใครที่ฟังเพลง Good Girls Go Bad แล้วติดใจ ลองย้อนกลับไปฟังตั้งแต่อัลบั้มแรกกันดูนะคะ รับรองว่าไม่ผิดหวังค่ะ :)
